MISSION

The mission of the Apache County School Superintendent of Schools and staff is to provide educational and fiscal services to enhance student achievement in in partnership with districts and local communities and to work cooperatively with federal and state agencies in identifying the changing educational needs of Apache County and the complex communities we serve.

ESA

The Apache County A.R.S. 15-301 and 15-302 indicates that the Office of County School Superintendent is a Education Service Agency. This means that the county office will provide program services to school districts. Some of the program services provided are:

Title II-Teacher Quality Grant for middle school teachers to become highly qualified and appropriately certified.

Statewide Instructional Technology Grant for a Technology Integration Specialist to assist teachers in the classrooms by providing on-site trainings on technology.

School Staff Trainings upon request-Professional Development Coordinator uses various resource agencies to assist the school districts by hosting or sponsoring teacher trainings, school administrators’ trainings, or school board trainings. Matched funding is necessary for these trainings.

The County School Superintendent and staff are part of the Arizona Education Service Agencies-Professional Development initiative.
