Apache County Education Service Agency

Authorized through Arizona Statutes §15-301 and §15-302, the Office of County School Superintendent is an Education Service Agency.  The county office provides fiscal and program services to eleven public school districts and charter schools within the county.  Some of the programs and services provided are:

◊ The county school office works in conjunction with the Northeast Arizona Regional Center, Arizona Department of Education and the Governor’s Office providing programs and services in support of Arizona Ready. These efforts are focused on four pillars of success:

• New college and career ready standards and assessments for all students
• Effective use of data to track student, teacher and school progress
• Great teachers and leaders to make it happen
• Support for struggling schools so that all may succeed

◊ Title II ESA Professional Development Project grant is to provide middle school and high school math teachers tools and resources to raise math achievement.

◊ Upon request, the ESA uses various resource agencies to assist the school districts by hosting or sponsoring school district staff and school board trainings.
