Just in time for the new school year, Verizon Thinkfinity has launched a back-to-school
feature highlighting engaging educational resources to help teachers get students excited
about their return to the classroom.

From resources using football to teach geometry, to lesson plans on the “Legend of
Sleepy Hollow” to a podcast that highlights what a crew might experience during a 520-
day trip to Mars, teachers will find a plethora of free, standards-based resources in the

Also, to help teachers refresh on all the great resources available, Verizon Thinkfinity
is offering a host of free online webinars on a multitude of topics to help get the school

The Arizona Department of Education’s Resource Guide for the Standards and Rubrics for School Improvement is an online guide offering over 400 educational resources for Arizona’s Educators and Administrators.  Find research, trainings, templates, and other items to help increase your school’s academic outcomes.  The Resource Guide is continuously updated.  Please click on the link below to access some of our newly posted resources.

In addition to the regular fall session of online courses, IDEAL Professional Development is offering a special mini-session* of online courses focusing on the role of technology in classroom instruction. Each course lasts only 4 weeks with both facilitated and self-paced formats available.

JETS website

The NEDC is an annual design competition in which students, in grades 9-12, put their creativity and problem-solving skills to use and create a workplace  assistive technology device for a person with a disability.
In this cross-curricular competition, students discover engineering through real-world applications that impact people in their community and change lives.
